New Horizons Center Park Grand Opening

November 2, 2016

Each year, C.A.R.E. hosts an annual fundraiser. A major portion of the funds raised go to helping other charities and organizations that have a mission to support children afflicted with Autism Spectrum Disorder. As in the past years, C.A.R.E. has donated to the New Horizon Center.

New Horizon Center for the Developmentally Disabled is a not-for-profit agency that provides education and training for children and adults with severe developmental disabilities and autism. The agency serves students and adults from the Chicago and suburban areas. New Horizon Center is a day facility. Students are placed at New Horizon Center through their public school districts.

This year, C.A.R.E.'s donation coupled with other donations helped to open a new park for the school. This park includes oversized musical instruments with accommodating measures specifically for children with disabilities, designed for outdoor playgrounds.

C.A.R.E. and its members are incredibly excited to be part of this project and to assist the New Horizon Center
